MONCKS CORNER, S.C.–Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler has been appointed to serve as a member of the Environment, Energy and Land Use Policy Steering Committee for the National Association of Counties (NACo).
“Committee membership at the national level is a serious commitment and responsibility, but it is also a rewarding experience,” NACo President Roy Charles Brook said in a letter to Supervisor Peagler, offering him the position. “A great deal of NACo’s strength is in our committees and your active participation reflects and reinforces that strength.”
Congress and federal agencies often look to NACo for feedback on legislative policy decisions.
“I look forward to exchanging ideas with leaders across the Country, learning ways to be proactive to strengthen Berkeley County and building relationships to help find solutions to issues in our County, State and Country,” said Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler. “This invaluable opportunity will challenge me to strengthen my leadership skills by sharing thoughts and initiatives with other innovative leaders.”
