GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the woman whose body was found over the weekend in Goose Creek.
On Saturday, November 11th, at 12:49 p.m., GCPD officers responded to Crowfield Lake adjacent to Crowfield Blvd. in reference to a body found in the lake by two fishermen. Police say the body had been pulled ashore by one of the fishermen while the other notified this agency via 911.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office was notified and a joint investigation commenced. The victim was positively identified as 38-year-old Tanya Vaughan-Youmans.
An autopsy was performed on Sunday.
At this time, police say there is no foul play suspected but the investigation is ongoing.
