ALVIN, S.C.–The Alvin community now has its own substation which will be manned by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
The substation was part of a process that was two years in the making.
Residents of the Alvin community will now have a place close to home that they can meet with a deputy or obtain a copy of a report.
The substation is located at 2184 Santee River Road in St. Stephen.
