BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office conducted a two-day Crime & Drug Sweep on Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th.
The sweep included law enforcement officers from the Hanahan PD, Goose Creek PD, Bonneau PD, Summerville PD, the SCHP, SC Constables, SC Probation & Parole, SLED and Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office as well as members of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
The initiative resulted in 59 in-custody arrests for a wide range of charges.
“This was a lot of work but it was needed. The areas we worked during this crime sweep continue to have high call volumes and problems related to drugs,” Sheriff Duane Lewis stated.
