CROSS, S.C.–To commemorate the opening of the new pharmacy at the Elijah Wright Family Health Center, Fetter Health Care Network hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9. As part of the Fetter Health Care Network, the Elijah Wright Family Health Center serves insured, underinsured and underserved individuals throughout the Lowcountry.
âWe are thrilled to celebrate this incredible addition to our Fetter Health Care Network,â said Aretha R. Jones, CEO of Fetter Health Care Network. âWith the growing population in our service area, we are confident that this new pharmacy will allow us to better serve our patients in Berkeley and surrounding counties.â
The event was held at the Elijah Wright Family Health Center located at 1681 Old Hwy 6, Cross, SC. Special guests included appearances from Berkeley County Supervisor William âBillâ Peagler, Representative Joseph Jefferson of the S.C. House District 102, Reverend Jimmy Howell of United Baptist Church, Carlisle Harrison, the board chair of Fetter Health Care Network, and Reverend Edmund J. Riggins of The Eleventh Hour Baptist Church,
The new pharmacy opened its doors earlier this year and is currently providing full pharmaceutical services to Fetter Health Care Network patients. The pharmacy is open from Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with a brief closure for lunch from 12 to 1 p.m. It is also open on Friday between 8:30 a.m. and noon.
Fetter Health Care Network is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) chartered as a 501c3 non-profit in the State of South Carolina in 1975. They provide comprehensive services for insured, uninsured and underserved residents in Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester Counties. Today, Fetter Health Care Network has 21 different sites, a dental practice, medical labs and a pharmacy.
