BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for the vandals who they say spray painted graffiti on several walls of the Cane Bay Family YMCA.
According to deputies, the incident occurred sometime over the weekend.
In red paint, vandals wrote the numbers “60” and “420” on some of the walls in what appears to be the bathroom-shower area.
Deputies say the damage is estimated to be around $1,200.
Some neighbors in the Cane Bay community say they believe that teenagers may be responsible for the damage.
The 54,000-square-foot sports facility is still under construction. The grand opening is expected to take place sometime in 2019.
If you have any information on this case, you’re asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 719-4465. You can remain anonymous.
