BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a graveyard.
According to Berkeley County Coroner George Oliver, the body of a black man was found in Shuler Cemetery on Saturday around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was shot to death.
An autopsy has been scheduled for January 20, 2019.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time.
The cemetery is located in Pringletown off of old Gilliard Road.
More details will be provided as it becomes available.
SUNDAY UPDATE: The homicide victim found in Shuler Cemetery has been identified as Steven Lincoln, Jr., 29 years of age, from Ridgeville. The victim died from multiple gunshot wounds.
