St. Stephen Catfish Festival Planned for April 5-7

ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–The annual Catfish Festival returns to St. Stephen on April 5, 6 and 7.

The event, which is located at 113 Ravenel Drive in St. Stephen, will include vendor booths, great food, live entertainment and fun rides for the entire family.

The three day event kicks with the Timberland High School marching band at 4 p.m. on Friday followed by a concert at 6 p.m. The band performing will be Phileos, a blues, country, rock group from the Macedonia community.

The event lineup for the following days include:

****Saturday, April 6****
– 8 am–Heart Walk
-10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.–Lance Lucarelli
-12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.–Puppets Praisin’ Jesus
-1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.–Name that Tune Trivia with Crystal
-3 p.m. to3:30 p.m.–Puppets Praisin’ Jesus
-4:30 p.m.–Palmetto Extreme Dancers
-5 p.m.–Catfish Stew Cookoff Judging
-6 p.m.–10 p.m.–Tiberon Alley

****Sunday, April 7th****
-Sumter Free Health Clinic Singers
-Faith & Power Ministries of Moncks Corner
-Dottie Hurt and the boys
-3 p.m.–Egg Drop

Anyone interested in taking part in the catfish cookoff can register up until the day of the event on Saturday as long as it’s before 11 a.m.

The 2nd Annual Spring Egg Drop will take place at Alice Price Park (113 Ravenell Drive) in St. Stephen on Sunday and will include over 5,000 eggs. The egg closest to the bullseye will win 10% of the money pot. Eggs will be sold for $5 at the Catfish Festival on April 5th-7th, St. Stephen Town Hall, or email [email protected]
