BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Atlantic Building Components celebrated its expansion Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Macedonia community.
The company was founded 35 years ago, in 1984, at its headquarters in Moncks Corner. The company manufactures roof and floor trusses.
In the beginning, they company employed just six employees.
They now currently have three manufacturing plants across North and South Carolina, and they employ more than 250 people across those states.
Long time employees joined company leaders to cut the ribbon. They also ceremonially built the inaugural truss in their new building. Then, everyone signed the truss.
The company is located on Cane Gully Road, near Macedonia Middle School.
