
GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–Two officers with the Goose Creek Police Department are recovering from their injuries following an accident on I-26 Friday morning.
According to the Goose Creek Police Department, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officer James Cantrell and Lindsay Wright were traveling on I-26 when they were rear-ended by a distracted driver.
Immediately following the collision the two officers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say.
One other person required medical transport.
“We are unable to provide any other information at this time. Please keep our officers in your thoughts and prayers as they recover,” stated Captain Thomas Hill with GCPD.
