BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – For residents expecting a FedEx delivery in the coming days, your service may be impacted due to Hurricane Dorian inching closer and closer to the Carolinas.
Depending on your type of FedEx delivery, residents living in all coastal counties in the Lowcountry – including Berkeley County – will be impacted.
FedEx Ground services are partially available to the Lowcountry – including Berkeley County – but they remain dependent on local conditions.
FedEx Express and FedEx Freight have temporarily halted delivery services to the South Carolina Lowcountry – including Berkeley County.
FedEx offices located in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant (both locations), North Charleston and North Charleston have temporarily closed.
Hurricane Dorian is expected to produce dangerous storm surge and hurricane-force winds along portions of the Florida east coast and the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Our thoughts are with those affected by #HurricaneDorian & the millions of people who remain in the storm’s path. Plans are in place to help protect our people & facilities & to lessen the storm’s impact on service. For more info visit https://t.co/DLbTZLQ3hM or call 1800-GoFedEx pic.twitter.com/ELYbBr5aSo

“Our contingency plans are in place and, as always, our priorities are the safety and well-being of our team members and minimizing the effects of potential storms on service,” FedEx stated in a news release. “FedEx will be prepared to provide service to the best of our ability in areas affected by the storm and as local conditions allow.”
