BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – This holiday season, join Berkeley County EMS in rolling up your sleeves to help save lives locally. But this is not just ANY blood drive. It’s a unique “Battle of the Badges” event that will a top donor team from EMS, 911 Communications, military, law enforcement or fire. (Yes, there’s a trophy involved for proper bragging rights.)
In addition to the blood drive, there will be food trucks, health information booths from area hospitals; fire prevention and awareness tips; law enforcement crime prevention and community awareness tips; car seat checks; blood pressure checks and much more.
EMS is also interested in having representation on hand from local first responder agencies. If interested in hosting a booth or displaying any type of apparatus (i.e. police car, fire truck, military vehicle, other gadgets, etc.), contact EMS Training Chief Josh Hemmelman at 843-719-4122 or [email protected].
