BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – About six million animals enter shelters every year, according to the No Kill Advocacy Center. Many shelters nationwide, and even here locally, face overcrowding while also coping with limited budgets.
To help care for homeless pets at the Berkeley Animal Center, the Friends of Berkeley County Animal Center will host a quarter auction on Dec. 14. The event will take place at American Legion Post 166 at 116 Howe Hall Rd in Goose Creek from 6 to 9 p.m.
A quarter auction is a fast-paced, low cost, high fun event, according to event organizer.
“The Legion has a great menu and awesome drink specials planned for the night,” organizers said in a news release. “And, of course, there will be adorable adoptables to show you some love. You just might meet your good luck charm!”
New to Quarter Auctions? Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and event organizer said they will make sure guests who arrive get ‘Quarter Auction 101.’
