MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is making two trips to South Carolina this week. One of his stops includes a visit to Berkeley County.
On Monday, Buttigieg participated in the Columbia Urban League’s Annual King Breakfast before joining the NAACP King Day service and march.
On Thursday, he returns to the Palmetto State for a conversation with Angela Rye at Claflin University before heading to Berkeley County for a dialogue with “Charlamagne tha God” in his hometown of Moncks Corner.
According to Buttigieg’s team, he will join the famous disc jockey and host to discuss economic empowerment and the candidate’s plans to invest in the black community.
Thursday’s event in Moncks Corner will take place at the Atlantis Restaurant, which is located at 484 North U.S. Hwy 52. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Reservations for the event can no longer be made due to reaching “max capacity.”
