MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Moncks Corner Police Department is currently looking for a man who officers said pulled out a rifle and threatened to shoot people Friday morning at the Walmart in Moncks Corner.
According to police, witnesses said Terrence Lenard Middleton of Charlotte, North Carolina walked into the store to purchase a hunting/fishing license, but when his credit card declined, he became disgruntled and went to his car and threatened to shoot people.
Police said when Middleton got to his car, which was parked outside the store, he grabbed a rifle.
Police said Middleton removed the rifle from his car and approached the store while still making verbal threats; however, police said he never re-entered the store. Instead, he returned to his vehicle and sped away.
Officers along with investigators said they are still collecting additional information and are attempting to locate Middleton, who was last seen driving a black Honda Accord.
According to the Moncks Corner Police Department, an arrest warrant was signed and filed on Middleton for pointing and presenting a firearm.
