MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Things just got a little sweeter in Moncks Corner. A new bakery and dessert shop celebrated its grand opening Friday morning.
To mark the special occasion, Elegant Treats Bakery LLC held a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Those in attendance included Moncks Corner Mayor Michael Lockliear and Councilmembers Charlotte Crumppenink and Latorie Lloyd.
During the event, the first 25 people to attend the opening received a free dessert box containing a key lime cupcake, cookies-n-cream cookie and pralines.
Elegant Treats Bakery LLC is owned by Faith Alston, a celebrity pastry and cake artist who has worked with Charlamagne tha God, Pastor Kim Pothier, Pastor Steven Fredrick, Chef Bj Dennis and the rapper, Trina.
Her business is located in the KFC shopping center at 405 Corner Square in Moncks Corner.
