Schild said the truck was occupied and injuries were reported. There were no injuries to the crew, Schild said.

After a preliminary investigation, and interviewing witnesses, Goose Creek police said it was determined that the pickup truck had driven around the safety arms, which were in the down position.

According to police, there were two adult females in the truck, along with five juveniles, ages 13, 11, 11, 8, and 5.  Three of the occupants were ejected from the collision. Six of the occupants were transported by EMS to local area hospitals. Family members took the seventh occupant to the hospital.

At present, two of the children are listed in critical condition. The rest of the juveniles and the adults are all in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Goose Creek Police Department.
