BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new president for 2021. Todd Buddin, president & CEO of First National Bank of South Carolina, has taken on the new role. He said he looks forward to promoting a “pro-business agenda” for Berkeley County.
“Improving and growing business opportunities in the area is key to our success and input from our business community will help us get it right. Our mission is to provide value-added benefits to our membership as well as advocacy for the voice of our business community,” said Buddin.
Buddin succeeds Clarence Wright, who previously served as the southern division manager of gas operations for Dominion Energy. According to the chamber, he’s taken a new position in Georgia.
“We are thankful to Clarence and our past leadership for their dedication and service to our chamber and region,” Buddin said. “We remain excited about the chamber and its contribution to the business community as well as the surrounding communities.”
Buddin is a Walterboro native with 30 years of banking experience. He is a 1987 graduate of Francis Marion University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is also a 2011 graduate of The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
