GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Law enforcement officers are on the lookout for a man they said killed his girlfriend in front of his own parents in Goose Creek Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Aubrey Tucker, 36, is considered armed and dangerous. Deputies said he is responsible for gunning down his girlfriend during an argument at his home.
“He apparently got into an altercation with his girlfriend at his residence,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “I don’t know what the argument was about at this time. He shot her inside the residence in front of his parents.”
Just after 2:30 p.m., Berkeley County dispatch received an emergency call in reference to a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Old Back River Road. When deputies got to the scene, Lewis said they found Tucker’s girlfriend already deceased.
“At that residence were the parents of the suspect. They actually witnessed the shooting,” Lewis said.
Deputies said after Tucker fatally shot his girlfriend, he then took off on foot and went up to a home on Riverside Circle.
“He knocked on the door of a residence there and while armed took the person’s cellphone from them and fled the scene a second time,” Lewis said.
According to the sheriff, Tucker was currently out on bond for a deadly shooting that happened outside of a North Charleston bar last year.
“He may be wearing a monitor. We don’t know if he’s cut that off,” Lewis said.
Tucker is described as a black man who weighs approximately 180 pounds and stands 5’4″. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt along with white and blue pants.
If you know Tucker’s whereabouts, call 911 immediately.
