BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – We are just a few days away from the 4th of July weekend! If you’re looking for fun Independence Day activities to enjoy with friends or the entire family, there are quite a few taking place in Berkeley County.
We’ve included a list of upcoming 4th of July events below:
- Bonneau Beach Annual Independence Cart Parade
- WHEN: Saturday, July 3; Line up begins at 10:30 a.m. at 319 Lake Moultrie Dr. Parade departs promptly at 11 a.m.
- DETAILS: All Bonneau Beach cart owners are invited to participate in the parade. Organizers are hoping to set a new record for the number of carts in the parade. Don’t own a cart? Be a spectator along the route and gather the goodies thrown by parade participants. The Family Celebration is sponsored by the Bonneau Beach Civic Club and is free for all Bonneau Beach residents. The event will include free hot dogs, free drinks and free water slides for the kids.
- ROUTE: This year, the parade end point will be the Bonneau Beach Civic Center on Butter Road, where a family celebration awaits all Bonneau Beach residents. The parade will start at 319 Lake Moultrie Drive, then go down Pauline Drive, Barn Road, Dawsey Drive, Hildebrand Drive, Bonneau Street, Black Oak Road, then back down Dawsey Drive to the Civic Center.
- FEE: No entry fee is required to participate in the parade or the Family Celebration. The Family Celebration is sponsored by the Bonneau Beach Civic Center and is free for all Bonneau Beach residents.
- ADDITIONAL INFO: Due to safety concerns, bicycles are not allowed to be part of the parade.
- Moncks Corner July 4th Independence Day Fireworks
- WHEN: Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 9 p.m.
- WHERE: Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex, 418 East Main St. in Moncks Corner
- DETAILS: The Town of Moncks Corner is hosting the 4th of July Firework Celebration on Saturday, July 3rd at the Regional Recreation Complex. Viewing of the fireworks can be viewed from your vehicles or you may bring a blanket and lawn chairs to sit on the event field, there is plenty of room to gather and spread out.
- FEE: Free admission and parking
- ADDITIONAL INFO: Please do NOT bring fireworks, alcohol or grills to the event. There is plenty of space on the Event field for everyone to spread out. You may also view fireworks from your vehicles in the parking lot.
- Fabulous Fourth in the Creek
- WHEN: Sunday, July 4 2021 at 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- WHERE: Goose Creek Municipal Center
- DETAILS: The City of Goose Creek’s annual Fourth of July Celebration and fireworks display will take place on Sunday, July 4. This will be a celebration of our City’s 60 anniversary. Commemorative City of Goose Creek items will be on sale. The event will showcase live music from local cover band Calhoun’s Calling, a variety of food vendors and free kids’ activities. Outside fireworks, sparklers or alcohol is prohibited.
- FEE: Admission and parking are free.
- ADDITIONAL INFO: Parking is limited, please plan to carpool. Rain date: July 10.
- Hell Hole Swamp Festival
- WHEN: Saturday, July 3 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- WHERE: Jamestown Recreation Park in Jamestown, S.C.
- DETAILS: A parade will kick things off at 12:30 p.m. The event will also include live entertainment, food trucks, arts and craft vendors, adult field games, a reptile zoo, children’s games, face painting, a silent auction and much more. The festival will conclude with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
- FEE: Admission and parking are free. Blankets, chairs, dogs and coolers are all welcome.
