BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A new Netflix show filmed scenes for its second season at Cypress Gardens.
According to park officials, the popular Berkeley County attraction is featured in the show, Outer Banks.
The Netflix drama, which is currently streaming now on the platform, follows a teenager who enlists his three best friends to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance.
Outer Banks topped the Nielsen U.S. streaming chart for the week of Aug. 2-8 with nearly twice the viewing of its closest competitor, Deadline reported Thursday.
Of course, the Netflix original is not the first show or movie to use beautiful Cypress Gardens as a backdrop for filming.
To date, Cypress Gardens has hosted more than a dozen major movies and television series including:
- The Patriot
- Cold Mountain
- The Notebook
- North and South
- Swamp Thing
- This is Cinerama
