BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified two people killed in a shooting in Sangaree recently.
According to Berkeley County Deputy Coroner Darnell Hartwell, Malaki Trayvion Mazyck, 15, of Summerville and Kenyon Johnson, 18, of Goose Creek were fatally shot on Sangaree Parkway on Wednesday.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, just after 9 p.m., deputies received an emergency call from the staff at the Brighton Park Emergency Room in reference to a possible shooting victim.
Upon arrival, deputies located two victims that were suffering from gunshot wounds.
Mazyck was pronounced deceased at the Brighton Park Emergency Room. Jonson was transported
to an area hospital where he died the next day.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4412. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
