BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Starting Monday, March 14, there will be intermittent lane and shoulder closures between Liberty Hall Road and Hwy. 52, as part of the ongoing Henry Brown Boulevard Phase II Improvement Project, according to county officials.
Work will continue daily through Sunday, March 20, county officials said. The main work area will be between Willow Tree Drive and Island Green Road.
Drivers should anticipate delays during peak daytime hours, including pickup and dropoff times at nearby Mevers School of Excellence.
During the later part of the work week, a road closure will occur along the southern intersection of Firethorn Drive with Henry Brown Boulevard.
Commuters should access Firethorn Drive from the Northern intersection with Henry Brown Blvd. (at the traffic circle).
Traffic along Henry Brown Blvd. will NOT be blocked during this closure.
Drivers should be aware of construction crews and equipment, as well as all signage related to lane and shoulder closures, throughout project limits. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
