BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A driver has died more than two weeks after a single-car crash in Berkeley County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, on May 29, the driver of a 2005 Honda sedan was traveling on I-26 in the westbound lanes near mile marker 190 shortly before 8 a.m.
At some point, the driver veered off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the driver to crash.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the driver at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
