HANAHAN, S.C. – Three people are in jail on drug-related charges, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas Walter Ward, Jr. and Abbey Pease have been charged with trafficking fentanyl. Carey Glass has been charged with possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 8, deputies said Ward was arrested during a traffic stop and was found to be in possession of approximately 12 grams of fentanyl.
Berkeley County Narcotics Task Force Agents then executed a search warrant on Ward’s home on Canterbury Road in Hanahan.
During the search warrant, agents said they located more fentanyl. The homeowner was identified as Carey Glass and another woman there was identified as Abbey Pease. Both Glass and Pease were arrested for the narcotics in their possession.
All three were booked into the Berkeley County Detention Center.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit contains members of the Hanahan, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner police departments as well as deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
