MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Authorities are investigating a woman’s death in Moncks Corner as a homicide, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
According to Chief Deputy Coroner Darnell Hartwell, his office was contacted Thursday in reference to a body found inside a residence on Bonnoitt Street in Moncks Corner.
The victim has been identified as Susie Kochever, 65, of Moncks Corner.
Firefighters found Kochever’s body was found after responding to the home for a fire early Thursday morning, Live 5 News reported.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, Moncks Corner Police Department, the Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office and SLED are investigating.
