GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – More than six months after police located the body of a man in the parking lot of a Berkeley County school, the search for a homicide suspect remains ongoing.
The Goose Creek Police Department said it is seeking the public’s assistance in the identification and apprehension of the person responsible for the victim’s death.
In the early morning hours of May 25, police said John Staley III, 31, was the victim of a homicide that occurred in the parking lot of the Mevers School of Excellence, which is at 7750 Henry E. Brown, Jr. Boulevard.
Detectives said it appears Staley drove his car around midnight to the school and exited the vehicle shortly after arriving. Shell casings were found at the scene.
