BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – One person has died and four were others injured following a collision in Berkeley County on Monday evening.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling west on Farmington Drive near Tomaka Drive as the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette traveled east, crossed the center line and struck the Tahoe head on.
Master Trooper James G. Miller said the driver and three passengers in the Tahoe were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Miller said the driver of the corvette was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The fatal crash happened approximately one mile from Summerville.
