Police Investigate Stabbing At Moncks Corner Food Lion

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Moncks Corner Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took place at the Food Lion on Hwy. 52 on Tuesday.

Moncks Corner police and Berkeley County deputies responded to the grocery store at 11:14 a.m. after several citizens called 911 to report a fight between two people involving a knife.

When officers and deputies arrived at Food Lion, they said they found one person suffering from apparent stab wounds and another with a bloody nose. 

Officers and deputies began treating the person who had been stabbed until EMS arrived.  Both people involved were transported to the hospital by EMS. 

Police said there is no threat to the public.  Crime scene and detectives responded and are currently investigating the incident.

At this time, police have not said what led up to the stabbing or if anyone has been charged.
