
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – The Goose Creek Police Department is hoping the public can help them identify and locate a man wanted for questioning in the recent vandalism of a church in Goose Creek.
According to GCPD, several statues were recently damaged at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, which is located at 510 St James Avenue.
A police report listed the following items from the church as damaged along with their value:
- Statue of woman, valued at $500.
- Virgin of Penafrancia statue valued at $500.
- Blessed Mother statue, valued at $1,000.
- Lady of Manaog statue, valued at $500.
Police said a United States of America flag, valued at $100, was also stolen.
No arrests have been made in the case; however, security cameras did catch a person of interest in shorts and a T-shirt holding what appears to be a bottle or spray can.
