BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. –  A dog recently found chained to a tree in the woods with no food, water or shelter now has a permanent roof over her head, according to Berkeley Animal Center.

“We all knew this darling girl was a survivor and that she had a loving heart regardless of how she had been previously treated,” BAC posted to Facebook.

Shelter workers said after Willow, the name she was given, was brought to the center after someone found her in the woods, she was soon placed in a foster home. While her stay was supposed to be temporary, her foster parents opted to make their place Willow’s “furr-ever” home.

“It didn’t take long for them to fall in love with her and make her a permanent part of their family!” BAC said.
