HANAHAN, S.C. – The Roma Road playground in Eagle Landing will be closed from Thursday, June 22, until Monday, July 3, for the installation of new playground equipment – weather permitting.
According to Hanahan officials, the new playground will feature inclusive play equipment, such as a duo seesaw and a whirl-around.
The duo seesaw features seat backs and handles for children who may not have the core strength or upper body strength to use a standard seesaw.
The whirl-around can accommodate a wheelchair-bound child. All equipment is appropriate for children ages 2-12 years old.
Citizens who wish to play during this closure may visit the playgrounds at The Hawks’ Nest and/or the Hanahan Recreation Complex.
