GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car Tuesday night in Berkeley County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on Red Bank Road, which is about two miles north of Goose Creek.
Master Trooper Brandon J. Boltthe said the driver of a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north on Red Bank Road as a 21-year-old driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette traveled south.
As the driver of the car attempted to turn left onto Harbor Lake Drive, Boltthe said the motorcyclist struck it.
Boltthe said the driver of the car was not injured; however, the motorcyclist died in the collision.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not released the name of the motorcyclist.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
