BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County deputies recently arrested a woman after they said she threatened to blow up a local hospital.
Shannon Denise Webb, 24, of St. Stephen was booked into the Hill Finklea Detention Center following the threat.
On July 25, deputies said they received a phone call from Trident Medical Center’s emergency room in reference to Webb making threats to use a bomb to blow up the hospital.
Trident then requested a welfare check on Webb, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Webb’s home and made contact with her.
Webb admitted to deputies she made the threat because she was upset about being forced to move out of her uncle’s residence, deputies said.
Webb was first transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation and then transported to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center to be served warrants. A judge set Webb’s bail at $20,000.
