BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office hope to meet many people from the community Tuesday night during National Night Out.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office will take part in the event Aug. 1 at Club Midtown in Nexton from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The address is 165 Midtown Avenue in Summerville. Deputies from the hit show “On Patrol: Live” will be there as well as some adorable K9 friends.
Firefighters with the Pine Ridge Fire Department will also be in attendance.
The event will also include food, games, a glitter tattoo artist and photo booth to make memories. Local musician Lauren Hall will perform.
During the event, deputies will also gather money and supplies for the Teacher’s Supply Closet, which allows teachers to “shop” for supplies needed in their classrooms for free, rather than going out of pocket. This benefits the Tri-County area.
