BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – With less than three weeks until the first day of school, the Berkeley County School District is inviting its families to come out and enjoy the 2023 OneBerkeley Back-to-School Festival!
The festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex from 9 a.m. to noon.
The district will have a couple thousand bookbags to give out on a first come, first serve basis. These bookbags will be stuffed with some basic school supplies.

There will be 22 tents with community members and district office departments hosting games to win prizes. Peachy Palette will be on site for face painting. There will also be jump castles, and the Berkeley High Blue Brigade will perform during the festivities.
The Kiwanis Club will give out popsicles and BCSD’s Child Nutrition Department will have its “Pizza Man” giving out slices of pizza. There will also be food trucks on site for food purchases.
BCSD welcomes back students on Monday, Aug. 21.
