BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.- Berkeley County deputies have arrested a man following a recent drive-by shooting in Summerville that injured two teenagers.
On Friday, Aug. 18, deputies responded to Gippy Drive in reference to a shooting with injuries. The caller gave dispatch a description of the vehicle involved, and while deputies were responding to the shooting, they observed the suspect’s vehicle on Myers Road.
Deputies said they attempted to stop the vehicle and then were involved in a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit ended in North Charleston’s jurisdiction in the area of James Bell Drive and Rivers Avenue.
When assisting deputies arrived on scene on Gippy Drive, they located a 16-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy who were injured in the shooting.
Deputies on scene rendered aid to the victims and then they were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Both victims had non-life-threatening injuries.
Clint Isaiah Williams, 27, of Moncks Corner, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and failure to stop for blue lights and sirens.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
