SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified a woman Tuesday found shot to death inside a Summerville hotel.
According to Coroner Darnell Hartwell, his office responded at 3:35 p.m. to a call for a deceased woman at the Country Inn & Suites hotel, which is at 220 Holiday Drive in Summerville.
“The deceased victim was pronounced deceased on scene,” Hartwell said.
Hartwell identified the victim as Marissa Decker, 46, from Pennsylvania. He said she died from a gunshot wound.
It’s not clear if police have made any arrests.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Summerville Police Dept are investigating this case as a homicide.
