ST. STEPHEN, S.C. – A motorcyclist has died seven days after a collision with a car in Berkeley County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover said the crash happened Dec. 9 around 2:35 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 52 at Mandella Road – that’s a mile south of St. Stephen.
Glover said before the crash, the motorcyclist traveled east on U.S. Hwy. 52 as the driver of a 2012 Ford car traveled north on Mendella Road. At some point, the two collided.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital where he died Dec. 16 from injuries sustained in the collision.
“This is all the information I have at this time,” Glover said.
At this time, the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not released the motorcyclist’s name to the public.
