BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified two people found shot to death Wednesday morning at a mobile home park.
Coroner Darnell Hartell identified the victims as Ismael A. Rodriguez, 21, of Goose Creek and Jose Nieto, 15, of North Charleston.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, around 9:30 a.m., deputies received a report of gunfire and a person lying in the roadway at 1147 College Park Rd. in Summerville.
Another person was found dead inside a home in the mobile home park, deputies said.
It’s not clear if any arrests have been made in the case. Deputies also have not revealed what may have led up to the shooting.
“We will release more information as it becomes available,” BCSO Chief Deputy Jeremy Baker said.
This case is being investigated as a homicide. Hartwell said an autopsy will be scheduled to aid in the investigation.
