BONNEAU, S.C. – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Casey Duane Crawford, 24, of Bonneau on two charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest Wednesday. Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service, also a member of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation.
Investigators state Crawford solicited a minor for sex and sent sexually explicit images to a minor.
Crawford is charged with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment; and one count of dissemination of obscene material to a person under age eighteen, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
