GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Goose Creek police have arrested a man charged in connection with a fatal apartment shooting that occurred Friday evening.
Davon Dwayne Devore, 30, has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
On Friday at 4:45 p.m., the Goose Creek Police Department received a 911 call about a person shot at Saint James at Goose Creek apartment complex, which is located on Channing Way in Goose Creek.
Dispatchers were also notified by the caller that there was a man shot in the head on her front porch.
Upon arrival, officers said they located a man who had been shot and was unresponsive.
Emergency medical services arrived and confirmed he was deceased. The victim has been identified as Brandon Gregory Cobbs Jr., 29, of Goose Creek.
