MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Traffic near the Tail Race Bridge in Moncks Corner slowed following a fuel spill Tuesday afternoon.
According to county officials, a portion of the bridge remains closed as crews work carefully to clean up the spill.
“Drivers should expect significant delays in the area of the Tail Race bridge, and other parts of Moncks Corner, due to the incident,” county officials posted to Facebook. “We appreciate the public’s patience.”
According to one driver who finally made it home from the gym, traffic still remained back up at 9 p.m.
There are no hazards to the public, county officials said.
