MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Lowes Foods, a Carolinas-based grocer, has announced plans to close KJ’s Market at 110 U.S. Highway 52 in Moncks Corner. It also plans to shatter two additional grocery stores in Raleigh and Wilmington, North Carolina.
“We are working closely with store hosts who work at the three stores slated to close to offer them positions at other stores where possible,” Tim Lowe, Head of Retail, Alex Lee and President, Lowes
Foods said in a news release.
According to Lowes Foods, the three stores will close by the end of August.
The news comes as Lowes Foods gears up to open a new store in Aiken as part of parent company Alex Lee’s broader growth strategy to invest in new stores and remodel existing stores.
