MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A man is behind bars following a recent shooting at an apartment complex in Moncks Corner.
Qwontavous Stevenson, 33, of Moncks Corner is facing multiple charges, including one count of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent offense.
On Aug. 14, 2024, Moncks Corner police responded to the Northbridge Apartment Complex at 110 Northbridge Court around 11:30 a.m. following reports of multiple shots fired.

Officers with the Moncks Corner Police Department and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and located one victim in an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the torso. EMS transported the victim to an area hospital.
The Moncks Corner Police Department arrested Stevenson with assistance from the US Marshals Service Task Force and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Qwontavous Stevenson remains in jail at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
