Summerville Driver Killed After Striking Tree On Cane Bay Blvd.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – A Summerville driver has died following a single-vehicle crash in Berkeley County over the weekend.

According to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened on Cane Bay Boulevard near Coves Drive in Summerville before 4 a.m. on Sunday.

The victim, who was the operator of a 2010 Dodge Journey, was traveling on Cane Bay Boulevard when he left the roadway and struck a tree. He was partially ejected, Coroner Darnell Hartwell said.

The victim was positively identified as Jaeshawn Fulmore, 24, of Summerville.

Central Berkeley Fire Dept, Berkeley County EMS and the Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office responded to the crash.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway are investigating.
