GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – A football game between Stratford High School and Summerville High School ended early and attendees evacuated following a disturbance.
According to the Goose Creek Police Department, on Friday, officers received a 911 call that there were multiple shots fired during the football game at Stratford High School, which is located at 951 Crowfield Boulevard.
Officers were on scene and evacuated the stadium. There were not any guns fired at Stratford High School and no one was injured, police said.

“We will provide additional information as we continue to investigate,” GCPD Captain James Emerson said in a news release.
Following the incident, the Summerville Green Wave Football team issued the following statement:
Tonight’s ball game at Stratford has been suspended indefinitely due to unforeseen circumstances in and around Stratford High School and Stackley field.
The game was called at the conclusion of the first half of the play with the score, Summerville 28, Stratford 14.
Spectators were asked to leave the venue at that time.
The safety and well being of our student-athletes, fans and community members is our top priority.
