MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Santee Cooper residential customer satisfaction remained strong in 2024 and, once again, topped the national average, according to new, independent survey results.
Some 95.4% of Santee Cooper residential customers are satisfied, according to the MarketSearch survey conducted in October. The national average for residential customer satisfaction among power companies is 85.4%. Also, more than two-thirds of those customers – 68.3% – said they are very satisfied.
MarketSearch has conducted this independent survey annually since 1992, asking customers about power quality, customer service, rates and value, conservation programs, and general image. Customers rated Santee Cooper highest in keeping power outages to a minimum (98.4%), restoring power as quickly as possible after outages (98.2%), responding quickly to customer questions and problems (97.4%), quality of electric power (97.3%), and concern for the environment (95.9%.)

Santee Cooper serves more than 215,000 retail customers in Horry, Georgetown and Berkeley counties.
