
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The town of Moncks Corner is kicking off the holiday season a little differently this year. For the first time, the town will combine its popular Christmas in the Corner event with its annual Christmas tree lighting program.
The town’s Downtown Christmas Festival kicks off Friday, Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Unity Park. According to event organizers, your favorite downtown shops and vendors will be open along Main Street.

Food trucks, games, and live performances will also be available for people of all ages. At 6 p.m., event organizers will kick off the town’s Christmas tree lighting program at the park.
The holiday festivities don’t stop there. On Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m., the town will also host its annual nighttime Christmas parade on Main Street. Nearly 100 entries will pass by with beautiful lights and festive decorations. The parade will begin at St. John’s Christian Academy.
