BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Due to icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District announced students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24.
All schools and offices will remain closed on Friday. Staff will work remotely.
Students will continue to complete eLearning assignments from home via Schoology or SeeSaw. Specific information about assignments will be provided by the student’s teacher and/or school. Teachers will share information regarding their office hours to support students completing eLearning assignments at home. Parents and students can refer to the eLearning Day FAQs for more details.
All before and after school programs, extracurricular activities, athletic events—including practices and games— and special events are canceled Friday, January 24 through Saturday, January 25.
BCSD works closely with Berkeley County Emergency Management and receives regular updates from the National Weather Service to monitor conditions. District leadership plans to resume normal operations on Monday, January 27, but may make further adjustments to school operations if necessary.
